Spam and your employers persuading you to stay

Isn't is strange that people who try and trick you into opening mails promising 'organ enhancements' and 'economic enhancements' want you to trust them enough to buy the same from them? What a leap of faith they ask of you...

And then isn't it equally strange that when you decide to leave your employers their line of argument, without fail, veers towards making you feel terribly stupid about moving to 'the other organization' rather than proving to you how 'clever you could seem' if you decided to take their 'new offer'...

Don't the concepts sound alike? self defeating, losing strategies...

Maybe spam is just an electronic manifestation of what we marketers do every day of our lives...
